So much for all my plans today! The gout that had been hanging around the edges the previous few days, letting me know it was out there ready to strike, outlasted the supply of my drugs and has now waged a full blown attack! It hit last night about 3 am and kept me up until about 6 am until my foot was numb enough from the ice that I could fall back to sleep for 
a while. The good news is during that awake time I manged to find a CVS pharmacy in the area. Since I use them at home I figured my doctor could just phone the prescription in to this store. The better news is that it did work like a champ! Of course mom's cats were not too happy with all of this as ther strange man in their apratment was hoping around on one leg all morning and really creating a commotion! By the end of the day, though, all was forgiven - and I was actually able to walk kind of like a normal person.
